Frequently asked questions

How often do you drop collections?

I try and drop new collections every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how large the collection is. Earrings are pretty quick to make and finish because they do not require sanding. However, dice and plugs do require quite a bit of sanding. Resin is also a finnicky medium, and needs multiple days to cure, and at least a month to fully cure. It is very important that resin pieces fully cure, because they can give off toxic gases when not fully cured.

Do you do commissions?

Yes I do! I have a commissions application form on my about me page! It's just a short questionnaire about how you would like your custom resin piece to look. Prices for earrings start at $10, and dice sets start at $40.

What if an item is out of stock?

Because I am a small batch maker, it can be difficult for me to have multiple stocks of a certain design. However, I like to keep in mind which designs my customers like the most. I plan on remaking popular designs in the future. If you'd like to let me know which designs you like best but missed out on, you can email me at desmodusrotundusshop@gmail.com.

What are your shipping and returns policies?

Shipping: I provide flat rate shipping on all purchases. Domestic shipping within the U.S. is a flat $5, and any international shipping is a flat $10. I also provide free shipping on orders over $35 or more (domestic or international). I will always ship through the USPS unless there is an absolute need for me to use another shipping company. With a flat rate, I can be sure that I am not over charging for shipping, which is very important to me. Returns: The customer is responsible for return shipping. Returns will only be accepted 30 days after date of purchase. Any items that were on sale at time of purchase, cannot be returned. If the item was broken or damaged in any way, I am happy to exchange it for another item, or issue a full refund. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please reach out to me via email (desmodusrotundusshop@gmail.com) and we can work together to find a solution.

How do I care for my resin items?

Resin is a tough, yet delicate medium to work with and care for. Although it is rock hard, it can be scratched after some wear and tear, and the colors can change or fade if left in direct sunlight. For best care, store in a cool, soft place. A velvet bag or a foam lined tin is recommended. Try to roll dice on a smooth, even surface. Most resins can change color over time, especially if it is white colored or if it is left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. If you purchase light or white colored resin products, then can and will yellow over time. This is a natural process wherein the UV rays from the sun activate the polymers in resin and cause them to break down. To extend the color and the life of your resin piece, keeping them out of direct sunlight is best. If you wish to polish your resin piece to give it a little extra shine, always use a microfiber towel and Plastx or Scratchx polishing paste. Anything that is not a microfiber towel will likely scratch your piece even more. The polishing pastes can be found at local stores in the automotive section.

Are your dice balanced?

Yes and no! Handmade dice will never be perfectly balanced. I am a human, and I will never be able to create the same dice that a machine can make. With that being said, I spend hours sanding and perfecting my pours so that they are as balanced as possible. I will never sell any dice that I feel aren't up to my standards. However, if I use any inclusions that I feel will throw off the balance, I will mention it in the description.
